"Do black people use blowdryers?"
So I have been invited to some sort of family get together with a fella that I know. For those of you that dont know this fella, we will call him "D", he is black. So this shindig is in Missouri and we are going to be staying the night. First of all I am nervous cuz I am meeting family members of D's, and secondly they are all black and I will be that "white girl". So I am packing and Im thinking... I wonder if I will need my blowdryer?... I didnt know... so I call my friend Ch-hay... " Cha-hay, do you know if black people use blowdryers?"... Ch-hay' s response..."No, they dont." Then I started thinking.. "man, Im gonna need all my stuff. Im white"... She responds.. "yeah".... So there is my small town southern girl moment of the day.
Besides that fact that I am a little nervous, I am excited. We are going fishin'!!!! I have been wanting to go fishin' for about 6 months now and I have not been able to go. YEA!!! Secondly, you know the food will be good. I have always heard that when black folks have a BBQ cookout type thing the food is always good. :) I hope so! This is also a pretty big step I think. D is inviting me somewhere to meet his family members.... WOW... wonder what I should think? I will not put too much thought into it... he may have just wanted someone to go on the ride with him!! :) I will let you all know how it went on my next entry!!

And you didn't mention that you called me eight times, not once. I just checked my phone. It felt like a lot more than that when I was sleeping.
I'm thinking about the blow dryer thing now, and for some reason, I think Markesha had one but never used it. I may be making that up, though. But they only wash their hair every two weeks. They wouldn't need it very often even if they did use one.
I realize this is my third comment on this post, but I just thought you should consider THIS question: Do WHITE people use blowdryers? Ponder THAT.
