We wonder why our students act the way they do!!!

So today may have been the craziest teacher/parent day ever. I walked into my day to an irate parent that was upset because her daughter, who mind you should be self contained in life skills, is making a C in my departmentalized classroom. In my classroom we are trying to write at a 8th grade to freshman level and this girl writes at like a 3rd grade level. So you tell me why a C is not good.... IT IS!! This mother yelled and screamed at me until i literally had to hang up on her. She was asking me why her daugher was not getting the A she had on the report card last nine weeks. This mother,who I believe could be self contained herself, could not comprehend why the material was harder.. HELLO SHE IS AT A THIRD GRADE LEVEL!!!!!! ARGH!!! Not only did I talk to this woman on the phone, she emailed me ( in all caps!!!) , left a nasty voice mail AND sent the report that I sent to her back with a bunch of f'n chicken scratch that also telled at me on it !! She told me that if I would not talk to on the phone, rude tone and all, that she would come to school and MAKE me talk to her! WHAT A F"IN PSYCHO!!!

And we wonder where our students get it!!!
